Alliance Medical is shaping the future of healthcare with state-of-the-art diagnostics, expert physicians and innovative care in Belize. Since its inception in 2025, Alliance Medical is the umbrella brand by which Belize Specialists Hospital and Ambergris Hope Hospital.

In 2009, Dr. Gabourel at Belize Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Center noted that patients would come in and would need multiple services from his clinic, they would then get discharged and go to another hospital to get further treatment. In essence, he was doing all the groundwork!

This didn’t bode well with him and his team, and as well rounded healthcare providers that they are; Dr. Gabourel’s Gastro and Endoscopy Center evolved into a full fledged Specialists Hospital. They wanted to fill the gap in medical specialties and be able to offer other services other than just Gastroenterology which in itself services a lot of diseases.

Belize Specialists Hospital has the country’s ONLY ISO (International Standard of Operation) operating theatre. With this they were able to branch out to more high-tech surgeries. They went from Gastro Intestinal surgeries to knee replacement, hip replacement, Kidney Stones Removal, Urology, Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Bariatric Surgery for Weight reduction and more.
